Find your program

Practice schedules don’t overlap, so a skier can join more than one program!

  1. Learn to SkiAges 4–7Days SatTuition $250Five Saturdays, fifty minutes each, five children to an instructor. The goal is simple: by the last lesson your child rides the kiddie rope tow and skis down on their own.
  2. Alpine Development TeamAges Kindergarten to Grade 3Days Wed/SatTuition $450The step between Learn to Ski and the Alpine or Freestyle teams. More time on snow, more terrain, and no gates yet, for children who can ride the rope tow and stop on their own.
  3. Alpine Race TeamAges 6–13Days Tue/Thur/SatTuition $675 to $925A US Ski & Snowboard certified race program, U8 through U14. Athletes train at their home hill and race across New Hampshire.
  4. Freestyle Ski & SnowboardAges 11–18Days MonTuition $350Boxes, rails, tankers and jumps on Abenaki's own terrain park, and the Small Mountain Series for anyone who wants to compete.
  5. Junior FreestyleAges 10 and underDays MonTuition $275Freestyle for younger skiers and riders, on smaller features and with more coaches to a group. New this season.
  6. Nordic Ski TeamAges Beginner to 14Days Wed/SatTuition $300Classic and skate technique on the Wolfeboro Cross Country network, competing in the New England Bill Koch Youth Ski League. Equipment is included in the tuition, with help from the Killington World Cup Foundation.
  7. Race LeagueAges Adults and familiesDays WedTuition $65 an adult, $35 a childSix Wednesday evenings of friendly racing for grown-ups, on teams of four. Adults, or adults and children together. Registration opens November 1.

The club is run by parents. Everything from the timing booth, the gates and the finish line on race day, to the sales floor at the Ski & Skate Sale, is worked by families whose kids are on the hill. Learn how the volunteer credit program works.

Races & events

Come to the hill

Open races, the sale that funds the season, and the jamboree that closes it. Spectators are welcome at every one.

  1. 14Nov 202653rd Annual Ski & Skate SaleOpen to allVolunteers neededNew and gently used skis, boards, skates, boots and clothing. Consign your gear and earn 75% of the sale price. This is the team's single biggest fundraiser of the year, and our best day for meeting the wider Wolfeboro community.
  2. 13Dec 2026TEST event, board checkOpen to allVolunteers neededA practice event for the board to test volunteer sign-ups. It comes down before the site is announced.
  3. 17Jan 2027Boxer Short RaceOpen to allVolunteers neededAn open race for U10 athletes. Every participant gets a pair of flannel boxer shorts to race in.

Why we fundraise

Money is never
the reason
a kid doesn’t ski

We are 100% funded by dues and donations, and we never turn away a child just because money is an issue.

Trails cut before the rope tow existed

The tow and the lodge were up by 1940, making Abenaki one of the oldest small ski areas in America.
